Ultimately the heart of this book is unpacked in the final sentence of the book. Tims hope is that readers are stirred to rethink what we mean by "comfort and joy." He explores traditions, lore, culture and scripture through a Christmas lens such that it becomes obvious that the reality, impact and fullness of the Christmas story can only be known when we cherish one another inside and outside of Advent, with no shelf life or expiry date. Then we would live out cherishing one another- including the poorest of the poor, a hard-to-like neighbour and a toxic family member- well into the days when we just dont want to be bothered. Tim truly believe that can only happen when we receive and share "Christmas" as a verb as much as we do as a noun. So, we "Christmas best" when we "Christmas always."
